The route map showed a hilly 50km ride to the coffee stop at Torrecampo and the town was programmed into Rusty's sat nav. I pedalled off with the group hoping that the cunning plan would mean no more heat exhaustion.
One of the big problems is starting at 9.45am as breakfast isn't served until 8.30, this means that most of the riding is in the full heat of the day.
The route was lovely and I really enjoyed my 31 miles with 567m of climbing.
The sheep still looked miserable though..
Sarah also decided to join the Ka escape having heard about a pool at the destination hotel and we pootled 50 miles to this beautiful Andalusian town.
I have just devoured a 3 course lunch, dipped my feet into the pool and found a shady sun lounger for an afternoon nap - anyone would think I was on holiday!
